FEATURES
100% Maple Shells
The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple wood, with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was the sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focusing on shell forming and edge shaping.
Finish
The lacquer finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for the finish of Polmuz Tulipwood drums is of the highest quality. The stunning, matte, clear lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe was made around its entire circumference using the intarsia method. The composition and application method of the lacquer are the same as those used in the top sets of renowned brands.
Chrome Hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance provides a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks away from the brand’s unfavorable reputation of the past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chromed Polmuz lettering guarantees and showcases the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Heads and Snares
The drums feature coated, single-ply batter heads of high quality under the Polmuz branding. The snares used in Polmuz snare drums are reliable components with 20 strands, which work perfectly with almost any resonant head. They help the snare produce a characteristic sound, free from unnecessary overtones. The distinctive red stripe on the snare is enhanced with the traditional white Polmuz logo.
Edges
The 45° edge cut ensures that the drumhead makes contact at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the drumhead and the shell. This results in a clean sound across the full frequency range and easy tuning.
Throw-Off
Polmuz snare drums are equipped with a smoothly operating throw-off. The adjustable snare tension allows for sound customization depending on the situation.
Tube Lugs
Tube lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique design of the Tube Lug makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body “floats” above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate fully. To minimize the risk of detuning, each drum features long screws that are deeply seated in the lugs. Additionally, each lug is equipped with double protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, ensuring tuning stability.
