Who plays Polmuz

The drummers in these photos come from very different worlds. Jakub “Zyjon” Śliwiński plays metal stages with Overflow, Klaudia Rucińska sits in the percussion section of the Polish Philharmonic “Sinfonia Baltica”, and Paweł Ostrowski teaches drums and records studio sessions. Next to them are our customers’ kits: in home rehearsal rooms, drum schools and recording studios.

Most of these drums are maple Polmuz Model 1 and Model 2 kits, which we build and finish in our workshop in Gdynia, Poland: in oil and wax, fades, sparkles or acrylic. There are also birch Model 3 and Model 4 kits, which many drummers start with, and snare drums made for one particular player. Every kit here has its owner and its story, from the first conversation about wood and colour to the first gig.

The photos come from the musicians themselves, sent by email or tagged on Instagram. We credit each one with the player’s name, the band and the photographer, when we know who took it.
