FEATURES
100% Tulipwood Shells
The shells of the Tulipwood series snare drums are made from 6 layers of American tulipwood, with a total thickness of 6.9 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The unique properties of tulipwood give the drums a distinctive sound not found in any other drums. The focused and clean sound of the shells is achieved through the careful selection of tulipwood layers, as well as the attention to shell shaping and edge design.
Finish
The lacquer finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for the Tulipwood drums from Polmuz is of the highest quality. The stunning, matte, clear lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the uniqueness of this model, an ornamental stripe is inlaid around its entire circumference. The composition and application method of the lacquer are the same as those used in the top sets of renowned brands.
Chromed Hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks away from the infamous reputation of the brand from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chromed Polmuz name is a guarantee and hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.
Heads and Snares
The drums are fitted with coated, single-ply batter heads of high quality branded Polmuz. The snares used in Polmuz snare drums are proven 20-strand elements that work excellently with almost any resonant head. They give the snare its characteristic sound, free from unwanted overtones. The distinctive red stripe on the snare wires is enhanced with the traditional white Polmuz logo.
Edges
The 45° bearing edge ensures that the drumhead makes contact at the optimal point. Each bearing edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, providing perfect contact between the drumhead and the shell. This results in a clear sound across the full frequency range and easy tuning.
Tube Lug
Tube lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique design of the tube lug makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body “floats” above the shell, minimizing contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate fully. To minimize the risk of detuning, each lug features a long screw that is deeply embedded in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double washers – metal and nylon – which ensure tuning stability.
