FEATURES
100% Walnut Shells
The shells of the Walnut series are made from 7 layers of walnut with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. The highest priority in designing the Polmuz drums was the sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, low sound while maintaining a focused and clear tone of the shells is achieved through the use of carefully selected walnut, as well as focusing on shell shaping and edge contour.
Finish
The lacquered finish of the Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for the Walnut model by Polmuz is of the highest quality. The stunning clear lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative inlay has been applied around its entire circumference. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top-tier drum kits from renowned brands.
Mounting System
The non-intrusive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design facilitates positioning toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made of aluminum reduce the overall weight.
Hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks away from the infamous reputation of the brand from the past. The cast logo on Polmuz drums is a true declaration of quality and style. The brass-made, chrome-plated Polmuz emblem is a guarantee and a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Kick Drum Hooks
The kick drum hooks in Polmuz kits are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this setup, the hooks and hoops form a unified whole, ensuring they do not separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.
Drumheads
The drums feature high-quality coated, single-ply batter heads branded with Polmuz. The batter heads on the kick drums also have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads stand out with a vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.
Edges
The 45° edge bevel ensures that they make contact with the drumhead at an optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been meticulously sanded and additionally waxed, providing perfect contact between the drumhead and shell. The result of this approach is a clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge contact on the toms results in a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on the bass drums generates a unique and warm vintage sound.
Lugs
Tube Lugs are a distinctive feature of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design gives the appearance of traditional mounts, but the lug body “hovers” above the drum shell, minimizing contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate fully across its range of sounds. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each lug is equipped with a long screw that securely anchors into the lug. Additionally, each lug features dual security with both metal and nylon washers to ensure tuning stability.
